The great Don Rodgers tagged me for my first experience at a Book MeMe , so here goes.....
The rules are simple (i say with requisite hesitation)....
So, my instructions were as follows:
1. Grab the nearest book
2. Open the book to page 56
3. Find the fifth sentence
4. Post the text of the next two to five sentences
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book or the intellectual one. Make sure you Pick the Closest book
Tom Clancy's Cardinal of the Kremlin, hardly intellectual , reading for the second time , yes, it's that good.
I would rather have an officer tell me what he does Not know, than try to impress me with a truckload of #$%* !!
I thinkg I am supposed to interpret this as an analogy to life or at least real estate, but, I am not nearly smart enough to play philosopher, so , I will let it speak for itself.
I have tagged 5 people to do the same! Enjoy!!
Larry Bettag - St. Charles, Illinois
Dan Brudnok - Chester County, PA
Judy Toscano - New Hampshire
Rich Dansereau - Knoxville, TN

James, I guess that line from the book reminds us all, agents and clients, to be straight shooters.
Gary Woltal -
thanks Gary, well said. I know I am not alone in the salesman problem of saying much more then needs to be said, because , hey that is what sales people do (at least too often)
James - I did it, it is my second time . . .
Have a great weekend!
what does this mean? do I add a my book quote? or do I have wait until someone tags me. Please explain to a relative AR newbie
I have a thought. How about we quote the bible , but each person turns the next page. So if you were 56, I would be 57, and then the people tagged would continue on, maybe that wouldnt work if you tagged more then one person
james - how about the the 5th sentence from the front page of your favorite web site, just to mix it up for those who dont have time to read outside of work and internet surfing
Sharon P - thanks for taking the time to do it for a second time, I am eager to know what is on your reading list.
Jason - not really sure of the rules, or lack of rules, but , since it is my post, it is great with me if you post your quote wherever you damn well like :)
Deborah Nalley - that is a great project. Start with page 1, add a quote and then hand off to another person (tag) and they will go to page 2, a lot of life lessons, to say the least, whether or not you are religious
Nick R - lol, funny, .....
I know, who really has time to read anything these days outside of the front page headline stories of Yahoo and of course Active Rain.
James,
Nice job sir for the first time doing one. Now for the wonderful introduction, I am not so sure that I am GREAT but I appreciate the thought. Thanks.
I've been going through a house move....I promise that I'll get to it tomorrow brother. Thanks....I sure hope my nearest book is inspirational.
Don Rodgers - I used "great" ,as realtor or Certified residential specialist would simply just not do! :) , thanks again, Sir Don
Larry B - , there is no time limit and no threat of 7 years of bad luck of you dont complete it at all, I wont take it personally one small bit...... , plu s, I like your quotes better then these so-called 'famous' authors :)
What a funny way the quotes have of finding the person when we, the writers (or readers), really thought we were in control. I have already completed this task and will point you to my post HERE...it is not too earth shattering but fun nonetheless. Thanks for the tag!
Rich D - thanks for participating ... and very well said, I recommend that everyone take a moment to read Rich Dansereau Book MeMe for some poetry, beauty and a moment of culture that classic prose by writers like Tennyson offer . Great contribution
